Andover Minor Injuries Unit

The clinic offers a walk-in service, however patients are strongly advised to call 111 to arrange an appointment, as appointments take priority over walk-ins. This will reduce the likelihood of long wait periods.

We do not see illnesses and ailments – please contact 111 or your GP.

The unit is nurse-led and no doctors are on site. After an initial assessment, you may be redirected to a different service suitable for your care.

Treatment at the clinic includes:

  • Treating minor head injuries
  • Facial and eye injuries
  • Foreign body removal
  • Fractures
  • Bites
  • Minor burns
  • Wound assessment and closure
  • An X-ray facility on site (if required) Monday to Friday from 9pm to 4:30pm, excluding bank holidays.

Members of the public who access NHS 111 may also be directed to their local pharmacist or GP. Urgent and emergency cases will continue to be directed to the emergency department in either Basingstoke or Winchester.

Outside of clinic opening times, you can continue to access care and advice via NHS 111 online and – in an emergency – by calling 999.
